Tate's First Christmas

Well, what a first Christmas - - -

Here is the run-down -

Before I get started - the big news is that Amy is having a . . . . . drum roll please . . . . . . . Boy! We are so excited and I can't believe we are 4 for 4 boys on that side of my family. Can you imagine what the holidays will be like with 4 rowdy boys? It is going to be great!

Wed, December 24th

  • Wake up @ 3:30 a.m. to a hot, hot, hot baby boy

  • Head to the Doctor @ 10:30 - probably a virus

  • 1:30 - Madison Bound to Nana and Papa T's where we met up with a sick cousin - Miss McKenzie. Poor kids we had to keep the seperated b/c they were both sick with different symptoms.

  • Ran a fever up to 102.5

  • Threw up 2 feedings called the doctor again and ordered up Pedialyte

  • Opened Christmas presents with The Lambs - Nana, Papa T, Uncle Jason, Aunt Megan, McKenzie, Uncle Steve, and Summer

As close as poor Tate and McKenzie got their whole Christmas visit.

Playing with Uncle Steve

Thurs., Dec. 25th

  • Woke up and hung out with the family, then headed down to Warner Robins

  • Hanging out with Grandma while not feeling so good.

  • Still fighting a fever up to 102 again

  • Opened presents with Grandma and Paw-Paw - Saw Aunt Amy and Uncle Mike only in passing because we were all trying to safe-guard Amy from Tate until he was fever free for more than 24 hours.

  • Chair from Aunt Amy and Uncle Mike - Tate will sit like a King around the house between this one and his rocker.

  • Headed to Mimi and Pop's house for more presents - man Tate must have been good this year!
  • Ran a fever up to 103, called the doctor again and this time we found out we could alternate between Tylenol and Motrin every 3 hours

Fri., Dec. 26th

  • Fever Broke!!!!!!!!! We were so thankful!
  • Sat in our PJs all day to make sure our little man stayed healthy

So in a nutshell nothing was as we had anticipated, but it was great to visit with our family. It seemed odd missing out on church this year with Tate so sick. I hope we can start more of our traditions next year and maybe he will be able to understand a little more about it all too.

Looks like you all had an eventful Christmas. Poor little Tate. It looks like he got lots of fun presents. He is cute as ever!
We only have about 3 months till our little one is here. It is so hard to believe that it is getting so close.

Amber! It has been years since Joey and I have seen you and Brian! I'm so glad I found your blog through Heather Doolittle's. We also have one if you want to catch up on what's been happening with The Lancasters! Tate is precious and I know you are loving being a mommy! Hope to hear from you soon!

Also, we are living in Madison now so if you and Brian are ever this way visiting, we would love to get together!
