Whirlwind of a Weekend

Brace yourselves - we had one busy weekend.  It really started on Wed. when our friends, The Johnsons, came to town.  They lived about 10+ houses down from us when we first moved in tha hood.  They introduced us to North Point Community Church, the high school ministry, and what a Godly home looks like.  It's great having friends like this visit, like family the house doesn't have to be perfect and you can burp at the table if you so desire.  (sorry mom)  They have now moved to PA and they were in town for a wedding.  So Wed they came in, we watched Idol, then they were off to see other friends on Thurs.  Friday they were back (Yay!) and we had dinner with some great friends.  Sat we had a baby shower, Brian had 2 graduation parties, and the rehersal dinner Sat. night - not for us we got to watch their son Cole which was a big treat.  Joseph and Angela are so intentional with how they are raising Cole.  He obeys because God is boss and mommy and daddy are boss under him.  It was great to see their discipline in action.  Sunday we all went to church minus Brian, he had a graduation in Griffin for one of his students that was in an alternative program and then he had another party.  At 4 p.m. it was my turn for parties.  I hit 3 of them and then was rolling in the wedding right at 6 as the bridesmaids were making their way in.  Monday we had to wake and have reality hit that the Johnsons would return home, but we were rewarded with the ability to spend the day together, just the 3 of us .
