Tate took his first dip in the pool this week and it was short lived. As you can see he wasn't a fan of the cold water. He LOVES his baths so we thought the pool would be a big hit, but maybe after the weather warms up a litte.
This week Brian turned 30 so we met him out for lunch on Tues., the day before and Tate got the chance to meet all of daddy's work friends. Brian is so cute and requested that he wear UGA gear since his boss is a big Tech fan. I just love it when Brian requests outfits, so cute! Not always what mommy would choose, but it is so sweet for him to have opinions on what he wears. Wednesday, Tate and I went to a play group at our friend Kristin's house. The babies were older, but it was great to see how one of these events works. Maybe we will host one soon. Kristin hosted the play date outside with water activities. Tate tried out a baby pool this time and the response was much better. He even layed out on a sprinkler mat and enjoyed the water spraying over his legs. It was too cute.

Saturday, Brian and I had a fancy date night at Lobster Bar in the big city! The Mears, an incredible family at our church, watched Tate for the night. It is such a blessing to have them in our lives. Their son, Kyle, is in Bri's small group through the high school ministry at North Point Community Church. They gave us the gift of a night out when Tate was born so we took them up on their offer. They did such an amazing thing in the hospital when they visited to meet Tate, they prayed over us. We were so touched by this gesture. It is so comforting knowing that people are praying over our ability to raise Tate in a Christian home.
